We offer a wide range of safety equipment for your door, this can be from the basic switches to prevent operation of the door if the wicket door is open to the photo beams and Optical safety edges.

We offer 2 main configurations of photo beams either reflective or send/receive, each having their respective merits.

We offer a high quality German optical safety edge with a range of options for both modern control panels and older controls not normally suitable to take this newer technology, full details can be found in our download section including guidance on wiring.

We stock spare parts only for pneumatic air switch safeties for repair only but would advise consideration of the regulations before these are used.

Elca Photo cells (wired) 20m

  • Specifically designed for outdoor use. It allows doors, gates, etc. to open automatically as soon as the infra-red beam is broken. Ideal for use in conjunction with garage doors, security gates, etc.
  • Send and receive – not effected by rain and fog.
  • Snow or very dusty areas can reduce range by 70%.
  • 12 to 24V AC only.

LS3 Photo cells (reflective/pre-wired) 9m

  • This is a safety system that fixes to your roller shutter door, automatically stopping it if somebody or something is in danger of the door closing upon them/ it.

LS7 Photo cells (reflective/pre-wired) 6m

  • This is a safety system that fixes to your roller shutter door, automatically stopping it if somebody or something is in danger of the door closing upon them/ it.
  • 24V to 240V AC & 12 to 240 DC

Limitations: in areas such as police stations or where there are cars with reflective stripping the photocell can be fooled.

Optical Safety Egde

Paramount stock two types of Optical Safety edge kits. If in doubt which to order – Kit 2 will cover both applications. Both kits come with rubber, metal track and stoppers.

Kit 1

Designed for use in panels with an optical edge input. These include:

  • Paramount Minimax (Geba) (must have comfort module);
  • Link Controls V7 (Dalmatic);
  • GFA TS panels (above TS958/956).

Kit 2

Designed for use on older more basic panels with no input for optical edge. These include:.

  • Ultimate controller with low voltage board;
  • Gaposa QC3P and Plus;
  • Most other control panels that have a photocell input and low voltage connection.
    When ordering for Tube motor operated shutter control board has to be ordered as well.

Keyswitch/Bullet lock Isolator

  • This Bullet Lock Isolator Unit is designed for internal use on electronically operated roller shutter garage doors that are secured by bullet locks.
  • It is fitted next to the door and respective control panel and/or switches in order to prevent the door from being operated until both of the bullet locks have been completely removed from the door and inserted into the Bullet Lock Isolator Unit.

Padlock Isolator

  • This Padlock Isolator Unit is designed for internal use on electronically operated roller shutter garage doors that are secured by a padlock.
  • The unit box is fitted next to the door and respective control panel and/or switches in order to prevent the door from being operated until the padlocks have been completely removed from the door and inserted into the Padlock Isolator Unit.
